Programme
Creative Movement
Dance created by students. It involves growth, satisfaction, self-expression and cognitive learning.
Dance
My structural dances are developmentally appropriate for early childhood. I enhance motor learning through repetition and practice of dance movements.
Relaxation
Because at the end of every movement dance class, the children have been mentally physically encouraged. I include relaxation techniques to help create a relaxing and calming effect.
Gymnastics
Movement based activities – balancing, sliding, jumping, scarf and ribbon dancing which will assist in the development of co-ordination, confidence and self esteem.
Music
The aim here is to expose the children to many different types of music to broaden their knowledge. Eg. Classical, jazz, rock, new age, children's songs and traditional. This develops the fundamental music concepts of beat, dynamics, pitch, rhythm, tempo and duration. I also teach musical improvisation, musical games, instrument sounds and knowledge.

About Liz
Liz Synnott A.I.S.T.D (London) Ballet, Modern, National, Ceccetti Ballet Associate (Australia), Pilates Instructor (P.I.A. Australia).
Dancing myself since the age of 3, I successfully completed all my Ballet and Modern examinations with outstanding results. In 1995 I qualified as a Dance Teacher at the Deborah Capon College of Dance in Kent, England, gaining my Associate Teaching Qualifications in Ballet, Modern and National from the Society of Teachers of Dancing (I.S.T.D.) London. I also completed all my I.S.T.D. Tap examinations up to a professional level.
For two years I worked on Carnival Cruise Lines in the Caribbean as a Dancer and Dance Captain where I gained invaluable experience as a Professional Dancer. In 2000, I moved to Australia where I spent four years teaching full time in several Ballet Schools in Sydney. It was during this time that I studied to become a Pilates Instructor, gaining my qualifications in Pilates Matwork Level 1-3 and Pre-Natal Pilates with P.I.A. (Pilates Institute ofAustralasia) in Sydney. Following that, I went on to establish my very first Pilates Studio. During this time I also gained my Ceccetti Ballet Associate (Sydney).
After 10 years overseas, I returned home in 2005 and set up my Pilates Business in Greystones. Three years later, Thrive Pilates and Dance Studio was established. With over 13 years of teaching experience I am excited to spread my enthusiasm for Dance and Pilates.
